Day of the open door: Opening of the Burscheid Cultural Forum

Open House: KulturForumBurscheid Opens on November 15, 2025

Stage program and hands-on activities from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

After extensive renovation, the former "Haus der Kunst" (House of Art) will officially reopen its doors on November 15, 2025, as KulturForumBurscheid. With a new name and an expanded concept, the venue will become a central location for cultural events, community gatherings, and social interaction in Burscheid and the surrounding region.

The opening will be celebrated with an open house, to which all citizens are cordially invited.


What can you expect on opening day?

• A colorful stage program with music, theater, choirs, and contributions from the region
• Stands where local cultural artists can present their work
• Hands-on activities and creative offerings for children, teenagers, and adults
• Guided tours of the new building
• Opportunities for meeting, networking, and getting a glimpse into the future use of the space

The KulturForumBurscheid sees itself as an open house for everyone—a place where cultural diversity is celebrated. Whether it's concerts, theater, exhibitions, readings, film, or parties, the program will be colorful and diverse. Local associations and initiatives, as well as artists from outside the region, will be given a stage. The former "Haus der Kunst" (House of Art) looks back on a long tradition as a cultural meeting place, and the new KulturForumBurscheid is building directly on this tradition.

But it's also thinking ahead:
In an era of demographic change, new ideas are needed to keep city centers vibrant. Culture becomes key—as a place for lingering, for exchange, and for experience. The KulturForumBurscheid is part of the "Integrated Development and Action Plan Burscheid 2025" and the "Intermunicipal Plan Burscheid | Wermelskirchen 2030."

All interested parties are cordially invited to come by on November 15, get to know the venue, and celebrate the launch of a new cultural hub in Burscheid.
